Welcome to our Practice
South Beach Medical Centre is a large training practice situated in the town of Ardrossan on the Ayrshire coast. We recently relocated from South Crescent Road to brand new purpose built premises on Harbour Street, near the Ardrossan harbour. South Beach Surgery started nearly 80 years ago originally in Saltcoats then moved to 17 South Crescent some 40 years later and on 27th May 2014 we opened as South Beach Medical Centre in our new premises in Harbour Street. Over the years the practice has grown from a small 2-3 doctor group with branch surgeries in Stevenston and Ardrossan (Barr Street) to the present 7 doctor practice with practice nurses and full ancillary staff.
In 2002 we were awarded Training Practice status, allowing us to be involved in the teaching of medical students from Glasgow University and to take part in the professional development of qualified doctors wishing to become General Practitioners. The practice was also given a Practice Accreditation award by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
