NEWS & UPDATES
***Important Patient Alert: Beware of Scam Calls***
We have been made aware of a scam targeting patients registered with local GP practices. Patients have reported receiving a phone call with an automated message claiming to be from their GP Practice. The message asked the patient to go online to update their personal details, threatening that failure to do so could result in being removed from the practice list.
Two of the numbers these calls originated from are 07448 046 976, and 07788 016 097 which have been identified as scam numbers, however please be aware that other mobile numbers may also be used.
What You Should Do:
- Stay Alert: Be cautious of any unsolicited calls, texts, or emails asking for your personal details.
- Do Not Share Personal Information: GP practices will never ask for sensitive personal information in this manner.
- Verify Authenticity: If you are unsure about any communication claiming to be from your GP practice, contact us directly using our official phone number or email.
- Report Suspicious Activity: If you receive a similar call, you should report this to Police Scotland by calling 101.
Your safety and security are our priority. Please remain vigilant and share this message with others who may be at risk.
If you have any concerns or questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our practice team.

THE WAY YOU ACCESS URGENT CARE HAS CHANGED
- For conditions where you would have previously attended A&E (if not immediately life threatening) you must now phone NHS24 on 111
- You will then be triaged and either advised to self treat, seek care at your local pharmacy or optician, contact your own GP or be given an appointment to A&E.
- If you are told you need to see your GP then this will be within a 3-5 day time frame.
- 999 should still be called for life threatening emergencies.
- Out of hours contact remains 111.
